Watercoloring

I mentioned in my last post that my new favorite technique is using SU WaterColor Pencils. It's such and easy way to really shade and add some color dimension to pictures.

Here's the picture I started with. I just stamped the image using Elegant Eggplant on to Confetti White Cardstock. You have to use a heavier weight paper if you use the blender pen or aqua painter. For this card I used the aqua painter.

I used the Aqua Painter and Elegant Eggplant ink to shade in some of the white spots of the haunted house to make the color a little more even throughout. Then I used some assorted pencils and just started shading in the moon and windows and edging.

I used my aquapainter to start blending the colors together. Just started coloring away. If you need to add more color, just pencil in more color and blend it in.

I sponged the edges a little and put my card together. Yay!
Did I ever tell you that I love love love Halloween?
If you're interested in learning more about the water color technique, I'll be showcasing it at Stamp Camp on Sept 26th.
This is a special stamp camp as one more demonstrator has joined my group. So there will be 5 of us and you'll be making cards using a different stamping technique for each project!
We'll have Faux silk, The Big Shot, my watercoloring and two others. Great seats are still available so RSVP now!
